MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

I would just be happy if MyWork would stop booting me to the home screen every 60 minutes while I am in Price change mode.

QUESTION: @OtherGuy when in pricing mode and you are under auto print and you hit activate, it automatically print a ticket.. Does this count as finding one item or not? I find myself turning auto print off and hitting activate, 0, every single time so I don't mess up the counts on final markdowns and such.. and this is really tedious. what used to take a minute now takes 5.

Also, I'll hit activate and the same item pops up on my screen and I'll have to hit activate once, maybe twice more for it to actually register.

60 minutes? Wow ours boots back every 20 minutes if we are lucky. And the activate has been an issue since as long as I can remember. Heck, I can print tickets for the same item 3 or 4 times and it will STILL be in the workload. so i am forced to hit activate then "0" this is a mega issue as its time consuming and i cant tell sometimes if its something I already printed tickets for.

I know that much, what I was asking is can the release that includes BCODE also print short and cosmetic format shelf labels?
The update had already been finalized this round I imagine. Since our store has already been through it...but we have asked for more label options, so maybe next update.

@OtherGuy, we need some input, please.

I'll have to circle back on the price questions, as I need to ask a co-worker about those

Double tap, swipe to close and reopen the app works just fine. But every time I open it and try to scan before the sound it just won't. I can often get the camera scan to work, but the app won't let me click anywhere after the info for the item comes up. I just wait for the sound, wait for "please wait" then scan. Works every time-so long as the network isn't down or something.

I'll have to play with this more, because every time I try to scan before the sound it won't (of course), but then will scan after the sound as it should. Did you notice this issue happening if you scanned too soon before this update?

Still bummed about the bcode not printing the date/price even if you select that option. Any idea when thats gonna get tinkered with? Its killing me to be so close and yet not quite there in ditching my need for a PDA (and the fight to get my hands on one).
You need the 18.3 PDA update for this to work on the MyDevice (yes I know counterintuitive), so it'll work whenever your store gets that update.

Can anyone tell me if the BCODE release also has the ability to print short and cosmetic labels even if it's a regular label POG?
It doesn't

I'll have to check what update were on...just saw the memo for the summer update or whatever. Until then it will just print the plain barcode via mydevice?

60 minutes honorably mentioned. I only got booted out 3 times today for instance. Normally it's at least 10.

It depends. If I am really careful it is fine. But it's the times I'm not paying attention and go to look at how many firsts are left and hit type,it'll freeze and if I hit anything else, Adios'.

@OtherGuy I really like how you can adjust the number of signs in a batch but I would like it if you could delete a DPCI's sign.

As an example, I did a revision for dried fruit and all the Simply Balanced fruits added a facing. In lieu of using the existing signs (the old fold around type) I batched all the signs for the POG so that section would be uniform. Since I didn't touch sections 2 and 3 of the pog, I really didn't need to print the rest of the signs. If I could delete signs out of the batch, I could have saved a couple of pages of ad signs.

THIS!! I'd also like the option to adjust or delete an item from a batch.

Labels are the same way. If I'm missing a few labels from an aisle, it's wasteful to print all the labels on the entire planogram.

I've added a backlog item to allow swiping to delete, but there's a lot of other things higher on the list so no promise on ETA.

Items from an exf batch sorry

We don't allow this because it never made workload sense, because sales accumulator is updated as you count each location, if you were to lower/delete the count the rest would just get pulled out later in a CAF batch anyway.

If you're only missing a few wouldn't it just be faster to scan the items and print those few labels rather than scan the POG and delete all the labels you don't want? Or are you not sure which items are missing?

It would be faster if all the items are there. But if I find that a label strip has gone missing and some of the items on that shelf are out of stock, how would I know what's missing without looking at the planogram? I find it oddly rewarding when I find missing items, research them, and eventually see them get replenished.

We've had this problem in the past with patio furniture and grills when the signs and labels would disappear. If there was no information on the item, how could we sell it to a guest? Nowadays we have a map of the entire set with DPCIs, but that doesn't help much in other departments.

If we could look up online planograms on the my devices, I'd be so happy. Just imagine it, I click the pog name under the item info tab and a beautiful image appears showing me what the aisle is supposed to look like, and the schematics!

Once upon a time we had the MSA. The Mobile Salesfloor Assistant. Did what you wanted. Very buggy.

Tried searching, but couldn't find anything about it, but does anyone know if the SCNT function will be added? I wasted an hour last scan trying to find and bargain with people for a PDA. Stl and flow team leader didn't really seem to care. Next time this happens, I'm going to clock out and go back home. I don't like wasting time, especially when I was already promised by the Stl that the devices would be available to me and my partner.

If you look on WB for the mydevice development page, SCNT is in the same list as receiving functions and PULL. If it happens, it will probably be one of the last things to be added.

Pull really needs to be developed for myDevice. There aren't enough pdas or lpdas left at my store for back room, recieving, and the floor to be able to pull their POG batches. My softlines team is constantly looking for one to do their batches and I had two team leads yesterday waiting for their end caps to be pulled.
