MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

Kind of an odd request, but I wish we could add notes to items, or some way to indicate the item has a temporary location. We've been flexing a lot of PTM lately, and when it inevitably shows up in reshop later its a pain to track it down.
Try in store tie is an option., as others has said.

Sorry, I was rambling, the short answer is it's not possible for us to eliminate these items. At best we could partially eliminate them, but very poorly at that. So no matter what TMs will be able to give dates to items that shouldn't have them, that of course falls on the TMs to not put in "joke" dates. As long as TMs don't do that, you won't see them show up in SDA.

We'll look at what we can do.
There is way too many items play with the sda. Please focus on the important stuff that we need.

Store tie will delete the old pog. This will delete all locations on your pog but leave the one item you tied...not helpful. A cool little way to tie in flexed product, while maintaining some organization, is to add a 1 before whatever section you tie it to. If you're tying to aisle E11 in section 1, it would be tied as E11 section 11. Section 2 = section 12, 3 = 13 and so on.

Yep we use 90-99.

having a sound play like in the "olden days" where you'd "page" your wireless home phone?
That would actually be awesome. And have the scanner flash too (after all it is as bright enough to shame the sun).

On a separate thought, there is currently no way to tell if a POG is "MPG" when using only the MyDevice. Normally I would use a PDA to scan x product under the NOP function, and it would say MPG (or REV) next to the POG number. If the red MPG label goes missing off an aisle we'd never know it was PTM. I might be overlooking something though.

It's a workaround but... You can use the store-tie function and tie to a non-existent physical section. For example if you put extra lamps in E30(1)3-1-1, tie it to section 13. Just add 10. It won't work for clearance though.

Or you could store tie to section 3 as there isn't a pog tied there. You only need to use an extraneous number to tie things to the first section of the pog since store tie doesn't recognize the length of pogs.

Now that the PDA's no longer have store tie there is no longer a convenient way to delete all the store ties in a section that I know of. There's got to be a better way to mass delete store ties than to scan upcs or type in every DPCI and manually delete it.

With your MyDevice, enter an aisle number in your search bar. Any pog or tie to that location will show as a result. Pick whichever one you want, then choose untie.

Can't you try to tie a planogram to that section and it will ask if you want to break all store ties?

My scanner has been quitting on me lately. I'm disappointed....
Did you happen to check if the device was on 28.41? or 28.40?

Also looks like I just hit 100 messages! I remember when I first joined this thread somewhere around page 20. Funny thing was I bookmarked page 120 (this page) because it made it easier to get to the latest page in the thread and I thought we'd never hit 120, but here we are! Guess it's time move my bookmark to page 250 ;)

Went to page 20 saw my post thinking that you and UIGuy weren't actually from corporate woops

...Somehow I doubt this is real (why would Target allow someone from corporate to come to this site), BUT something I would like, that I haven't heard of being on it, is the batches. With Project Viper being used at stores, and the goal is for TMs to pull product from the shelves, the fastest way to do this is an EXF batch. However, from what I can see, there is no way to access RF apps, therefore, no way to access your EXF batches.

So basically, a way to pull research/EXFs would be nice.

Yes, all 18 iPods are on 0.28.41

Is there a specific scenario where this is happening? Are you noticing it stopping to work while you are are scanning a lot of items, or does it stop working after you have holstered it for awhile and then wake it up out of sleep mode?

That's when I use the target app on my phone to find the dpci so I can then look it up on the PDA or register.
It also helps to be friends with one of the Sales Floor members. My best bud in the store is at the Cash Register. He always asks for my help on walkie when he's stuck. I gladly help.

My device scanner says scanner disconnect. How do we fix this issue. We are unable to remove from case. We have called the. " Helpless desk". And of course they are no help. Please someone help. How do we re connect scanner. It will scan fine then suddenly disconnect.

There is a report on workbench that will list all the store ties.

More when I'm scanning a lot of items it happens recently. I know I said it before and people thought I was crazy but I recently started holstering it with the scanner up since I thought the scanner issues were over. I'll holster it with the scanner down for the next few days like I was when I realized I hadn't had any issues in a few days and update you then. But legit I don't have any issues when I have the scanner facing down. If it's not that and I'm just crazy then I don't know what to tell you. Another TM had hers quit and she had to use the camera scanner until she could get time to reboot it since they installed those screws...

This will show all the DPCIs that are store tied but doesn't have an option to delete the store ties. That would be pretty nice feature though.

Does it have to be tied completely or will it ask to delete store ties before it actually ties?

Do you know what the report is under? I've tried looking it up earlier but the new workbench isn't navigation friendly.

@OtherGuy

Longshot suggestion, have a way to communicate to other TMs. Very limited though, like any TM to AP or LOD only. Easier than going on the walkie to ask for AP. If you suspect a shoplifter you can alert the LOD or AP via the MyDevice. Looks less obvious that you are watching someone.

I believe it's simply called the "Store Tie Report"

Sadly, it's just a report. It'd be nice if there was a Store Tie Management app on Workbench. Deleting store ties with a mydevice is a pain. It should be managed via typing in a salesfloor location rather than typing in a DPCI
