In West Virginia, a state where teacher aren't allowed to strike, they did anyway.
They managed to kill a bill that would have paved the way for charter schools and private school vouchers.
With the budget they had to actually remodel 200+ stores and build 30+ new ones, more than you can afford, pal. Lol.
Realistically there’s maybe 500, 700 tops, active regular accounts on this site. If all of them went on strike tomorrow with signs and banners (made with stuff they bought at work 🙄) there’d be like 350 stores with a couple NCNS.
Y’all need to start taking documented proof to news stations to make anything come to reality. However, based on modern TM work ethic, that’s not possible. There are a lot more losers than winners working on the ground level of the company. There’s only a few people at each store passionate about the company, everyone else is just there for a job because it was easy employment.
If all of the regular users made twitter accounts, followed each other, then posted photos tagging target and media then there’d be some traction.
BUT that probably won’t happen either, just like a strike.
A strike cannot happen as things stand now - only a UNION can call a strike. Target is not unionized. As such, if you just walk out and picket, you give management every right to can your ass and replace you. Face it, retail workers are a dime-a-dozen. For every person that is fired, there are numerous candidates to be hired.
