Lol not this again. This position is getting cut in the future and we all know it.They won't be cutting the position, it would make the new CEO seem weak and that he made a mistake or can't commit to developing the position and taking the co. in this new overall direction. Even if it's only for his ego, the VML position is staying.
Everything always sold off the mannequins before VML came around too.Isn't it CRAZY how quickly things sell when they are on the mannequin, it's like magic or something, everything I style up there sells through. Good for us, it shows how we can directly affect the sales for the store.
Guests who prefer Target over Walmart almost always say it's because of the better service and cleanliness in the store. All of you- the CEO KNOWS the highest gross profit comes from our cheap chic core brands- it is the only thing that lure guests back to target from walmart
It will go away. Everyone else on the floor will have a new focus of visual merchandising, and our training will reflect that.Also- any of you remember that specific test of pictures they went thru on "right"&" wrong"VISUAL PRACTICES in home and rtw?also 3 more stores just added runway trend mannequins to stores in my region- and ive read theres MORE HOME INNOVATION stores planned for 2016- this " visual thing" is not going away- it will be refined and tweeked- but its not going awa
This is true^^The ceo will look like a life saver when he cuts the position to save payroll.
I love my stores VML. Of course, I loved him before he was the VML. I'll love him after they cut VML and he goes back to some other TL position as well. No, everyone hates us VML's...sad but true.
Not all of them; we like our VMTL but she was an internal hire & well-like from the beginning because she's a hard worker & has a fantastic eye for style. No, everyone hates us VML's...sad but true.
It looks good you do a good job! But what does this prove to me?Well Blue- # photo with a vml- #2 without a vml
Those aren't really good comparisons because it's not even the same display of product. And again randomexamples withand without
That is going to be an interesting AE too with the changes to pharmacy. You can't compare a clearance shoe wall to a mannequin. We won't all agree on what looks good/fine/best. I'm not opposed to your position's existence but Target's execution leaves a bit to be desired, I think.
I thought the job was now out of the test phase, though and that's why it went nationwide? Idk, I've been assuming they'd cut one of the older positions first and let this one ride out for a while. Idk. Guess we'll find out when AE comes around. May the odds be ever in your favor (oooh! maybe I should go see mockingjay tomorrow!)
I remember this adjacency. They don't seem much different than what the book said to dress them in, aside from the jacket and shirt hanging on the same hanger on the front of the hurdle.Well Blue- # photo with a vml- #2 without a vml
Essentially a similar affect could be achieved by giving stores more hours and some brand team members. Or bring back the specialist positions.I remember this adjacency. They don't seem much different than what the book said to dress them in, aside from the jacket and shirt hanging on the same hanger on the front of the hurdle.
One is following the Planogram and mannequin guide. One is not. ANYONE can break the guidelines. We don't need a VML person to do so. All they have to do is give stores permission to pretty up the displays, cut the position, and save millions. And again randomexamples withand without
