I completely agree 👍🏾 with this. Good Employees should NOT be “Rewarded” with more work. What would be “nice” if the good workers were rewarded with Time off WITH Pay 💰. But some Stores 🏬 might actually “Fall Apart” if said workers were not present.Well , our store has market TMs with the good numbers than the actual fulfillment team (except for few). It’s good that high performing TMs get good hours but what we need is MORE people in every department. It’s no use when few good TMs get 40hrs and make them do all the extra work while their actual work gets piled up on the other side.
I would be happy if they atleast acknowledge with words now and then ! I can’t wait to let them know about my summer vacation plans 🤪I completely agree 👍🏾 with this. We've been doing this since the change to MyTime made it easier and it's pretty guaranteed that if you put your shift up, someone else will take it. Downside is, some people keep putting their shifts up because they don't want to work, and after a week or 2 of giving away all their shifts, the ETL's give their hours to people that want them instead of to those that give them away. and then they complain they aren't getting hours any more. We just shrug and ask them what they expected to happen when they're giving away 3-4 of their 5 shifts a week. Easier to plan around people you know will be there than someone you can't rely on.So I got something I’m going to try beginning tonight and see if it works (helps if any). I was going to share in the huddles how to post the scheduled 📅 Target 🎯 shifts with my team. One ☝🏾 “Trend” that has been going on since I’ve worked with Spot 🎯 (Over 12 years of experience and worked at several Stores 🏬) ppl complain about hours. However since everything (to my knowledge is digital now) It should be easier to call off, Request for more hours, Swap shifts. I’ll update once this experiment 🔬 occurs.
So what is the point of having desired hours. If this is a thing, then items need to be located where they should be. Style items better not be in repacks for days. Items better not be unlocated in the back. Equipment better be working correctly…specifically RFID guns.I heard a little more information that beginning in May, IF people's numbers (I'm specifically referring to fulfillment) reflect that a TM is not working etc. as per the suggested formula, (packing, picking, prepping in the timeframe suggested,) their hours will be cut and given to people who are making the numbers. True or False? I have no idea one way or the other....
LIke my store. Lots of dedicated employees have quit over the years. To be replaced by warm bodies.I completely agree 👍🏾 with this. Good Employees should NOT be “Rewarded” with more work. truth. So what is the point of having desired hours. If this is a thing, then items need to be located where they should be. Style items better not be in repacks for days. Items better not be I located in the back. Equipment better be working correctly…specifically RFID guns.
Or truck not finished and items still in truck or on the line. My favorite is a truck that was accepted by accident.truth.
I hate digging for those last few items, eating up precious time, and still taking the hit for INF, and now UPH.
Nothing like an RFID beeping among mounds of repacks or carts of reshop. True story.
🙄
I wish this should be the case. We are forced to carry so much dead weight, even if performance conversations are happening.I heard a little more information that beginning in May, IF people's numbers (I'm specifically referring to fulfillment) reflect that a TM is not working etc. as per the suggested formula, (packing, picking, prepping in the timeframe suggested,) their hours will be cut and given to people who are making the numbers. But those numbers can easily be skewed.I heard a little more information that beginning in May, IF people's numbers (I'm specifically referring to fulfillment) reflect that a TM is not working etc. as per the suggested formula, (packing, picking, prepping in the timeframe suggested,) their hours will be cut and given to people who are making the numbers. tbh I don't dare bust my ass, I've seen what happens to those who do. they give me the occasional performance conversation but because I show up every day it doesn't really do muchI wish this should be the case. We are forced to carry so much dead weight, even if performance conversations are happening.
You can see all of this on Pickup/SFS dashboard though, leadership would have to ignore like 80% of the dash to take UPH at face value and nothing else for performance. But those numbers can easily be skewed.
Picking a ship batch -- forced to pause to grab an OPU.
Person picks Market for 99% of their shifts -- Numbers obviously could be better than someone picking Style.
My store would Fall Apart in about a week & a half. GM ETL (a guy) would work his ass off to hold/do everything while the rest of the ETLs & SD (women) would treat him like shit & and bitch and moan & blame him about why shit not getting done. Then he would quit. And I would fucking laugh and laugh. Poor guy.I completely agree 👍🏾 with this. Good Employees should NOT be “Rewarded” with more work. I agree, but our stupid cow SD stubbornly insists ^^ is not the case at all and everything is as it should be. Oh I guess that's actually called 'gaslighting'. She and HR ETL are mega-stars at that.So what is the point of having desired hours. If this is a thing, then items need to be located where they should be. Style items better not be in repacks for days. Items better not be unlocated in the back. Equipment better be working correctly…specifically RFID guns.
I’m all for Peformancing out bad workers. However, have a “Plan B” in place as to have (Zero, 0) ppl available for any department is Absurd. This is Target 🎯 after all though… Expect More Pay Less Right??!!I just heard out HR saying that this week a very big number of TMs didn’t meet their desired hours . It’s so bad this week that morning there were zero TMs for fulfillment until store open. We had a very difficult time clearing the opu batches . By 1 pm most of the morning TMs are gone .
