I need to ask a SETL a question. Anyone available?
That’s what I saw on Workbench like two weeks ago. The only reason it’s not our for NCR SCOs is because they’ve been trying to get it to work right. From what I last saw, SCO is also supposed to roll out in Jan.SCO included? Last time I heard they haven’t tested them out with the ATM SCOs.
yeah and myDay was supposed to have the ability to order food in August LOLThat’s what I saw on Workbench like two weeks ago. The only reason it’s not our for NCR SCOs is because they’ve been trying to get it to work right. From what I last saw, SCO is also supposed to roll out in Jan.
edit: the no really was like like me agreeing with you in how it’s bizzare. It read weird once I posted it lmaoWell, if everything goes according to plan, all Guest Service and Self Checkouts should update to New POS in just a few weeks, and Classic POS will be dead. Damn, it feels weird that it’s almost here. Less than a month y'all, we’re in the home stretch…
mehhhh. Gatekeeper might not like this idea. How about having a list of all the apps in the hamburger menu (side menu) of all apps thus allowing immediate switching to any app from any app? There really should be no need to go “home”.
Gatekeeper on new pos? Don’t see how it would make a difference authentication-wise. It’d just be launcher the other app directly instead off from the “home” screen app.mehhhh. Gatekeeper might not like this idea.
OH I thought this was the myDay thread. Oops. I feel like it’s a bit too spread like if I’m working at GS I shouldn’t need to swap apps just to return and repurchase something. Starbucks is a GREAT example. It’s the in store checkout but with a few more bells and whistles. Guest Services should be the same way. Also just get rid of inquiry and put it in the in store checkout and GS and food. Same for banking. No need for a whole separate app honestly and these are SUPPPPEEERRR light weight apps with not much purpose honestly so there shouldn’t be any kind of reduced performance if they were included.Gatekeeper on new pos? Don’t see how it would make a difference authentication-wise. It’d just be launcher the other app directly instead off from the “home” screen app.

Now there’s an idea…I had a cool idea. Instead of useless Speed IDs, why not make it so we can just scan a barcode on the register screen with the myDevice in myDay and it logs into the register.
Had a similar idea. Pair your device with the register as a portable scanner. Lord knows how annoying tv serials are. Don’t think this would happen just because of how much coding would go into something that power usersI had a cool idea. I don’t see this happening LMAO I feel like they did that for a reason. Also I hope exchanges are soon.SDTMs— ability to select a return reason for online items for guests like we could on old pos is coming soon
they are listening
I’ll be damned! Saw this on the target Reddit.I don’t see this happening LMAO I feel like they did that for a reason. Also I hope exchanges are soon.
I’m actually the one who posted that on Reddit. It’s not what you think. That screen only shows up if the card reader is frozen/not working. If the card reader functions, then the guest has to do it themselves. That’s what I said in the comments after I posted it.I’ll be damned! Saw this on the target Reddit.
Do they have payment on account working on new pos?I’m actually the one who posted that on Reddit. It’s not what you think. That screen only shows up if the card reader is frozen/not working. Also, we’re in the final few weeks of Classic POS existing. Unless corporate bungles it again, it will be gone in like 3 weeks-ish.

They’re working on making it happen every time not just when the card reader is frozenI’m actually the one who posted that on Reddit. It’s not what you think. In that case...They’re working on making it happen every time not just when the card reader is frozen
False. But not in the way we're used to. There will essentially be a separate override screen for overrides-- it will not be a part of the regular return flow like it is on old pos. question is who will have access to itMy S&E TL told me that he thinks that they aren’t gonna implement overrides. How true do we think this is gonna be.
We don't have enough myDevices for cashiers to have them.I had a cool idea. Instead of useless Speed IDs, why not make it so we can just scan a barcode on the register screen with the myDevice in myDay and it logs into the register.
Target is continuing to increase devices in stores. If you run out of devices constantly, and your store is doing well at equipment management, your utilization rate will be high enough for the store director to request more at the stores expense. We don't have enough myDevices for cashiers to have them.
