I forgot to add that there is also no price change team at Walmart. The department managers do those as well. They expect a lot out of the department managers but they do have associates who help out. I think they also scan the outs, so no need for a separate instock team either.
There are a few modulars that are set by vendors, like the makeup and the new release CDs (not the movies).

And from my experience (this may have changed in the 8 years that I have been gone) no backroom team to pull your backstock. At the store I was a support manager at our dept managers couldn't be bothered with checking their bins or helping to clear their pallets so that others could access the backroom. I wish that I would have never transferred into that store.

It's changed. We have a backroom team now that does the picks (autofill) and bins the overstock. We usually have two backroom people on the grocery side and two more on the GM side.
I'd say it's good that Walmart doesn't expect the salesfloor team to back up cashier, but there's already no one on the salesfloor as it is, especially at night.
