MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

@signingminion @commiecorvus mine mostly do too. Almost without fail. But I'm sure it's not the same with all stores. And some will make certain accomidations when they want a certain person in a position.
@kangkang i got a pallet in today but was scheduled in a different work area. I'll break into it tomorrow.... There has been some kind of problem with the manufacturer I guess. IS there bp for this set? We set Wednesday. Thank god!

I've only gotten signing, no fixtures yet. But my pallets are coming mid week now instead of early in the week.
 
Broke into pallet. Blessed with mostly stuff for this week. Aaaaaaand last weekish. I'm sending corporate a nice thank you note :) for that shit. Mini should ALWAYS be so simple. Only thing that would make it simpler would be no fins. No backer, limited signing, cse, no overheads. (Imagine me kissing my fingers like an Italian and throwing them out in gratitude) some back ordered stuff. And approximately zero grocery. :cool:

The only thing I have received so far are Pallets of the Black Pushers...

Anyone know if the light blue BP for Seasonal at the moment will be the same used in the HBA revamp? I was wondering this as my TL is avid on setting it early as we literally were given 15, of the 100 hours we should have gotten... LMAO. I scan it but do not see POGs tied to it with HBA (Our Healthcare POGs have not dropped for us yet however, so I don't believe I would see it if it is anyway).

Mini seasonal backer is usually limited to that set. Just like holidays.

I must have a diffrent Mini, we had backer paper and crazy motorized overheads.
 
Oh shit, I think i might have the motorized overheads..... are there three of them? We are a made to matter store (judging by our signing)...

I was wondering how they thought it would take 2 hours to get them up.

Oh fuck me. Pretty sure we got that version too. Offered to help pptl condense and set tomorrow thinking it looked easy. Guess not.
 
Well I was on the schedule Monday a hours before the plano team came in. I knew they were doing Mini so I changed the CSE real fast then just figured the overheads looked like a ordeal. Starting before they even got in the front door helped.

Though honestly I have yet to be told I have to wait until the plano team is done to start overheads. Sometimes when we are sharing space they give me that " really right now?" look and I give them a smile and honk the wave horn.

Pretty much. They set the first sections while I prep the overheads and get the cse done. It helps that I've got seniority over them.

I think for us its more so our Clearance Bubbles are more viewable, so we can get Easter the %#@G out of our store.

I have an unwritten contract with my Plano team, if I can I run ahead and put up their backer paper for them before hand, in return they help me get caught up with signing when Pallets run behind (which seems to be fucking always).

It probably wasn't as bad as I made it out to be, all the screws had sharp edges and ripped my fingers up so I'm still bitter.

Getting them onto the ceiling was a pain though. I had to break down and get a second person to help. The directions do call for two people but yeah...

Shit I hope there isnt stuff missing.... I never looked at the pogs but pog kids all said "nope no backer". And as DTL was breathing fire, I wasn't too concerned about checking super close. Just getting trash up and working clean. I don't do backer unless its main aisle that comes in late. & im not talking mini. If that crap comes in after the fact it might just come up missing on the invoice. Perhaps one of you fine folks might have received it? Cough cough
