I'm annoyed. Our hardlines VM has worked at the store as long as I have. One Style TL came from Kohl's and I know he knows how to do LTOs. The other Style TL has done LTOs before, including Lilly Pullitzer.

HENCE. Why the FUCK do I have to come in on Saturday

For me it's because their team doesn't want to do an overnight and they knew mine would, or st least enough of us they could have this just in early to redo whatever we did and take credit.

I'd be less salty if they gave me a tshirt...

I tried the method SigningLady mentioned and still couldn't get it to look right (probably a failure on my part in understanding, but whatever).

So what I ended up doing was using 2 wires - one at the top of the pinwheel and one at the far side of the banner. I also added a 2nd sticky cube (there were markings for 2 on each piece, but they only sent 1 and the instructions only mentioned 1). I forget the exact lengths I used, but using just the 2 wires and better placing the banner made it look exactly like the picture.

Also, the instructions weren't really clear IMO, but I had to put the wire from the banner on the short side of the ceiling tile (towards the front of the store), while the one for the pinwheel was on the long end towards the back of the store.

Hopefully I explained that OK and it helps.

I used 3 wires and added a couple extra adhesive cubes for my own peace of mind.
 
It gave me an error message today. I was able to log in but not shop. I can hear the groans now when someone has to order for me. I can't trust my lead to do it so this could get interesting. I may have fewer friends if they did take away access.
My email still works though

Did you try through chrome or internet explorer? Log in through IE. Logging in through chrome does not work.

Pretty sure you'll still have email at least. My receiver at a small format came from a chain store and now is just a "small format team member" as small formats don't have receivers but still has access to her email, just not SAP.
 
Our HRBP came to our store yesterday and told my old PPTL, now the GM2, to make sure the store's signing specialist was scheduled at 6am for the Vineyard Vines launch.

The what? The who?

Clearly, she's as brain dead as she looks and as I thought. This is May 2019, not May 2009. Didn't she get the memo that there's not even a signing tm anymore?

AFAIK, I'm the closest thing our store has, had?, to that position. I'm scheduled PHAR on that day to push from 8am to 1pm. But the tl asked me to come in at 6am anyway.

Are you going to do it? My VM basically told me I was lucky to get some hours to help them with this because our SD said something along the lines of "people are supposed to 'stay in their lanes' and not work in areas that aren't theirs" so because I am hardlines, I really shouldn't be helping softlines with their work. You know, because what could I possibly know about brand launches and overheads and what to expect? It's not like I'm any kind of "expert" or anything after working there for a fucking decade. SMH 😒🙄😠

It's what my direct tl told me to do. Plus, if I go in at 6, I get out earlier. If it didn't benefit me, like leaving earlier, I wouldn't be doing it.

Are you at 40 hours for the week? If not, I wouldn't leave early and make them use those extra 2 hours of payroll they didn't plan for. Fuckers.
