MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Be on the lookout for new ISM for command strips - we set ours before it came in and had to go back to put up the new backer paper and signage.

3M also shorted us the peg label holders with tape on them so I had to make it work.

Now only if they would send us the trays for the bottom shelf since ours have been missing forever
Check with receiver ups or FedEx delivered it Monday

We finished storage set last night minus the endcaps for 6/15 - I don’t get why laminate storage 2 (RE) set as a new POG full of clearance. Almost every item was on clearance.

Now the pain will be once the displays start rolling in that my store does not misplace them

Why are your price labels showing the figures in the yellow boxes? Our price labels are just the white part. Or the yellow part on some of them - whichever is the lower, actual selling price.

Some states require all retailers to show a unit of measurement price on every item. It results in some strange labels such as 509.50 per 100 command hooks.

Since my state requires unit price to be shown for certain categories of items, the left corner of the label always has the unit price for certain items while the actual price is in the yellow box.

It’s always fun when a POG has price accuracy labels since sometimes a POG label strip could be regular prices, but now turns into unit price

Okay I’ve been gone from target for over a year now . How much did the workload has change in terms of what is a required of a tm to do while set.
Such as are they supposed to de-merch , set , pull , backstock , ppa , salvage etc. I don’t want to know an answer as in ASANTS just straight of what’s the only things they should do.

Back when I was there they were not in charge of de-merch/ re-merch , backstock or pulls.

They've clarified in recent transition guides that pulls and backstock are not apart of the time goals given in Set Workload Calendar. Now whether they should still do the whole process with extra payroll from that workcenter set aside for them or a specific TM should be scheduled probably is more of a ASANTS.

Of course there's also the fact that the new pog guided process launching soon includes everything from ticketing clearance to backstock and pulls as apart of the process.

I just want crystal clear direction with this, as I have gone 12 rounds with my ETL on it. I’m tired of them thinking my team (the rag tag people that get scheduled) are “slow”. You can’t give me 50-70% of the hours under SWC and expect all the things. Furniture is an exception. I always look forward to that week because even with the rip off of hours I can do a lot more and help other departments.

My store has been slated to start the pilot of Guided POG process. I’ve looked over the guide but wondering what other stores who have been piloting the process think overall. In detail if you can.

We are already almost done with the fresh transition, yet we didn’t even get the fixtures in so I know I’ll have to redo a few sections once they come in. We are getting 22 support grids in woohoo…

It has been a fun time, especially since we don’t have enough shelves and it looks like we aren’t getting any after reviewing the lists of fixtures coming ☠️ probably because no one did the walk and audit like they were suppose to.

The displays started to come in for floorcare and I bet my store will misplace those too.

Our Fresh transition is in 2 weeks. Doesn’t look fun.

Oh ours is too.. we started it last week and are almost done already.

My store loves to work ahead before fixtures and labels even come in and wonder why we have to go back and redo it
Mine, too. We were explicitly forbidden to set ahead on Storage and Organization, though, on account of a label strip issue, which makes no sense to me. God made drop labels for a reason. And more often than not, my homemade spacing is way, way better than the fantastical spacing given on the label strips.

We were forbidden, too. My TL was setting anyway but not tying anything.

PFresh? What's a support gird/grid???

Doesn't HQ know that there's almost always a label strip issue?

(missing labels on REV strips, spacing is incorrect, missing entire label strip for entire shelf, labels don't account for displays, etc..)
