SAM is how you update them, you'll need to check redwire to see the date that the updates will be active for your store.
Sam doesn't actually show updates anymore like the little notification up at the top right.. It should just show that whatever app needs updating should just say 'install' instead of 'installed' I know that when I came in yesterday s good bit had automatically updated themselves. Just had to verify that they did.

Today I was informed that "they"--not sure who my ETL was referencing to when he said "they"--wanted the wallpaper changed to correspond with their assigned number. Why? I have no idea. Whatever...
I hope this is coming to my store because a lot of people can't seem to figure out a) Putting the ipod back into its numbered charging spot or b) checking the back for its number. Lost count of how many times I go to sign out an ipod and find out somebody else thinks they signed out that number.
The DA, whoever they are, are supposed to come in and do the update so that it is done within an hour. As opposed to what our idiot DA did, who locked them up in the cash office so we couldn't update and use them until 7 when the same individual came in to update them.
It drives me insane. I usually come in every morning at 6 and put them in order to do a early morning audit to see if any are missing. So it may be good in the long run, but all of ours are numbered. I renumbered them back in January because our idiot install vendor numbered them and we had two 14s and two 15s and two 16s.

Mine has worked like this for quite some time. At least a year with at least one of the frozen turkeys always ending up on the audit list. Makes it easier to get through instead of doing math on box flaps so the person behind you auditing doesn't have to second guess your answer. Although you have to add on the audit.
Seconding this, random weight meats automatically added when you scanned the product. Been that way for a while.
That means the sled battery--not the iPod--is dead or close. It needs charging or it will stop scanning period. If you have the latest myWork update, you can now check the battery status of the sled by going under the User icon and scrolling down.
