The entire inbound team walked out this morning.

We do the Q4 leader lunch/meals too but I can never imagine a SD doing it during an actual unload. Especially when OP references having non-truck days.
Unless the day was scheduled and set up with whatever they’re catering from before the truck schedule dropped then yeah should’ve been on the nonstruck day.

Wow!!! I'd have guessed my old store, but that was pretty much every day there. I've seen them take a week to finish an 800 piece truck because nothing had been worked out for months and the ETLs didn't care and "we need you to pull orders"... I'm gonna miss Target, less than K-Mart though...

Yeah that tracks. FF/OPU/DU is god at my store. TLs can get stuck doing it even

Considering you were the only TM to get a CA, and as a result of cussing out the receiver, I'd say that's about right. Target does not treat that level of discourse lightly. You're probably lucky it was just a CA depending on what was said and your demeanor during the interaction. I'd imagine AP was called on to check cameras as well to see how the whole thing went down.

One thing about Target, they get all their ducks in a row before they bring the hammer down.

Our store didn't do a TL meal, at least for Inbound. We got too much to take care of during Q4, and I know our Inbound leaders would never bail on an unload just to eat. Unload is too critical to the night's success.

........ then I think about how our store has been since roughly before the Holidays. For as long as I've been here, every weekend starting with Black Friday has always had the break room filled with all sorts of catered food for the team. We've even had some years where the food starts coming in starting with the first weekend of November. This store really used to take care of us for Q4, but so far this year, we've only gotten our Black Friday food, which consisted of cups of Ramen noodles and Ritz crackers requisitioned from the floor. And meanwhile, the entire leadership team had the entire Black Friday weekend of catered food like Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse. Virtually every TM in every department has felt hung out to dry so far during Q4 and I think this morning's incident was the last straw. But now I'm here wondering what kind of trouble the team could realistically could into over this incident. Could we all be fired? Would we get into any trouble at all or would the SD actually reflect on how things have been and take pity on us? I know that's probably wishful thinking on my part, but still, what's everyone else's thoughts on this?
Reflecting on what you've mentioned, it seems like your SD and ETL-HR have the following policy:
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Don’t be surprised if some of those same “leaders” get let go along with the seasonal hires down the road. That “corrective” you and your colleagues got was retaliation. No if and’s or buts about it. Target 🎯 might be your “comfort” zone. However, you might want to consider sprucing up your resume and look elsewhere for live employment. I’m not sure if Spot has been your first and only job. Your skills set certainly reads more than just a “team member”. Not all stores 🏬 are like yours. You deserve to go to work and have peace ☮️. You spend a considerable amount of time there and deserve to be treated like a human being. Just my two cents.

I genuinely don't feel writing people up for leaving mid-shift is retaliation. That is, very much, an expected outcome.
Seasonals being let go is also expected. They can be termed for things that permanent team members can't.

So I thought that I'd stop by for a bit of an update.

I still work here, but I honestly do feel as if my days here are numbered. I've been trying to be on my best behavior considering my CA, but other inbound/GM team members are potentially ruining things. On the day after Christmas, one of our guys who normally throws the truck got into some type of argument with our receiver, just like I did, and later in the day, he got caught spitting in her iced coffee that she had in the break room fridge. He was terminated for that. And then a few days after that, another GM team member got fired for throwing her box cutter at our leader during the unload.

On New Year's Eve, our SD called a special huddle for just inbound/GM and she acknowledged recent events and gave us a whole lecture on insubordination and acting professional and all that. She kept repeating "big changes are coming" and then this past weekend, her and her boss were walking the store and they were walking for a good long while. I know that the leadership walks are usually relatively short, but it really felt like they were circling the store for at least a couple of hours. And her boss, the DSD, is normally a pretty nice guy who'll go out of his way to talk to some TM's and give them a smile, but not this time. He shot me a dirty look once when I walked past him and other TM's were talking about how he was giving them dirty looks and even hovering in their areas and keeping a close eye on them while they were pushing.

So that's how things have played out recently. I personally have a bad gut feeling about these supposed changes coming and I'm not entirely sure if I should just abandon ship.

Spitting in someone's food/drink is serious and some kind of crime, I bet. She probably could press charges.

Obvious lack of respect goes both ways and I wouldn't be surprised to see your leader transferred to another store, idk if they can gain the respect of the team back unless a lot of y'all get replaced.

Thanks for the update.

Shit like always comes back to management and i garauntee you they are doing whatever they can to save their asses. This isnt exactly what happened at a store near me that I had to cover for a while, but I wouldnt be surprised if they are going to be letting everyone go from top to bottom. If I was your dsd thats what I would do. You cant let shit like this go and poison the rest of the store. Your SD is probably trying his best to make sure hes not one of those big changes and if I was your tl or etl id be looking for a new job.

You are absolutely correct about this.
