A couple of people quit quite literally on the spot today, all for their own isolated incidents and the three aren't a group of friends or anything. One of our best apparel tms got a job offer elsewhere and is jumping ship soon probably. All of these people took the survey today.

This is gonna be one interesting year.

For the most part, our store management is pretty cool except for our no nothing sorority-sister/cheerleader of an ETL-HR. She did not do well on her inquiry.

My favorite were:

"Our Corporate Strategy inspires my confidence in Target."

"Target is making the changes necessary to compete effectively."

"I have confidence in Target's future."

"Our decisions and behaviors demonstrate the guest always comes first."

I really could have used a couple of selections that were worse than "Strongly Disagree" for these.

The can definitely equalize it

If there is 60 hours for backroom this week and 3 brtms, don't give one 40, one 14 and the other six when they all have open availability.
Well if 2 are slackers and 1 does circled around the others why equalize the hours. I personally do the work of 3 people in my 8 hours without any supervision and my ETL knows this.

You do to much then

I mean, you and the elts can try to justify it but if everyone is doing the required work, the schedule should reflect that. You shouldn't get shafted because on TM is a brownnoser

In my stores case the three brtms do equal work, none call out. There is on that goes outta of his way to be known on the salefloor (like filling holes on the floor instead of sweaping the back) but others shouldn't get fucked for that.

You shouldn't have to do the "work of 3 people" to get hours, that's another big issue

Of course that assumes all three are equally qualified to do the job AND actually show up.

Yeah, no. The hours go to the people that cost the store the least (in time, money, and emotional energy) for the amount of work done. Period. That's how for profit organizations work.

I see your point but in situations like mine, where I literally never call off and get all of my work done sans a little bit of "free time", of course they're going to schedule me for more hours rather than the girl that shows up about half of the time or the guy that does the absolute bare minimum to not get coached.

I used to be scheduled 18-25 hours a week like a lot of people, then eventually they started scheduling me for 32-40 because they realized no matter how low hours I was scheduled I ended up getting at least 30 anyway. Needless to say attendance is a huge issue at my store.

However if the three of you truly are capable of pulling equal weight, then yes you should be getting around the same amount of hours. This is rarely the case though as chances are some member of leadership caught one of you fucking around at one point and took note.

Right place right time dictates a lot of the recognition at target. Like if you bust ass when your DM shows up and the DM recognizes that, you just earned yourself all the hours you want for the next couple of weeks lol.

How many times can you take the survey anonymously?

Keep changing your workcenter as many times as you have work center options really..

And fair, one year the STL took the response paperwork out of the folder he had crumpled it up threw it in the trash and said that is over I am here and none of what you said matters now..

Agreed. Fortunately, in my local area of the country we have a law that prevents such "discriminatory behavior" for hourly-paid employees. Still, it's new and you stil have ETLs trying to skirt the requirements and give their favorites the hours. It's obvious. It's unfair. It's just plain wrong.

Meanwhile, took my BTS. I had to apologize to HR as I think the monitor stand broke: I clicked so much on the left it tipped over. <ba da tssss>

The food on offer (mini-"sandwiches" from Chik-Fil-A) could hardly qualify as a bribe - a chicken nugget between slices of bun, dry and cold by the time I got there. Was able to rate my TL better than I have the past couple of years or so, but everything else was pretty negative. Will be interested to see what happens with that "you talked, we listened" line. What do they expect with the short hours and everything else that's been going on?

So me and another tm askes why we keep getting low hours and the hr etl told use "business needs" and low payroll

So we asked to have less set days so we could schedule around it and was told no because of business needs

Essentially they told us that werwe going to keep giving you 12 hours a week broken up into 4 hour shifts three times a week because buibusin needs

This sucks because it's hard to work a second job around.

Time to quit i guess lmao

Get what you're saying about hours but honestly more TM less hours makes more sense. Easier to cover a 4 hour call out then an 8 hour shift. You can have 2 TM for the cost of one.(that's my business side BUT my otherside thinks how the f* are people paying their bills!!) I personally work 2 jobs. Thankfully 2nd job is super flexible!
