One thing I am curious about is the mention of the contractor for an hdmi drop? I am aware of NO hdmi splitter packages that can handle 10 let alone upwards of 30 HDMI outputs. You would probably be able to run several splitters in parallel, but such a setup would cost several thousands of dollars.

Think I heard the contractor was called RGB. Google search brings up RGB.com

They have a solution that connects up to 56 screens. PC Video Wall with IP Video Wall System Capabilities | RGB Spectrum

Enterprise level always has a solution.

Is it above your displays? If so its supposed to be a dual tag tv it's in the transition manual
It's like a foot or two above the gondola. I checked the manual but didn't see anything regarding dual tag tvs. I'll check again. Thanks!

I was just informed today the contractors will be coming in at the end of the month for my store. All my hard work today and I will have to redo it after they leave.

We had ours done 2 weeks ago. The contractor installed 3-4 HDMI switches/splitters and power strips. Hooked everything up for us. Didn't have to setup or redo anything on our end. The only thing tho is that they mounted all this to the gondola, so I'm like, wait how am I going to changing the backer paper now?!

I love it tho, no more trying to twist the coaxial cable in and no more scanning for channels.

Walmart, I found out the same thing this morning. Sunday night I think they came in and installed the 8 unit HDMI splitters. Shortly after I wondered how I was going to get the backerpaper up.

I'll post a pic when I find a nonshit image viewer that can resize.

On MySupport it says that the black backer paper on the TV wall is carry forward. Only small screen TVs and maybe the Samsung statement change to wifi paper.

Here is the new HDMI drop. Problem is if all the tv's are getting fed 1080p for backwards compatibility reasons, we still need to have uhd tv's running off their usb stick demos.

Yea there will be a large number of usb sticks to install. It's all done by either the PMT or third party vendors.

The problem is my backer paper is completely warped and ripped. It's probably 5 years old. Another issue I have is that we don't have a peg board on the gondola with holes. It's completely solid for some reason.

Did anyone have difficulties with the Samsung call out TVs in section 8? Spacing was tight because of the size of the TVs and the sign holder bars on either sides of the section. The Samsung lit sign was also a hinderence. I didn't change the backer paper in that section to white either.

Did people get new fact signs? I got backer paper, six new sign holders, headers for the small tv section, 4k clings...but no info tags.

Also the pmt usb drive...anyone receive it? On ism pallet? Ups? Fedex? Magical pixie?

They wrapped up the wall today but that's gonna hang over my head...

Had the same problem, except we didn't get the sign holders either.

Check the box with the white wifi backer paper. I thought I was missing the fact tags too until I noticed they created a very small space in the backer paper box to hold all of the fact tag signs.

We were sent fact tags that match the schematic on the back of the transition manual, but our actual planogram does not match that schematic at all so we have signs we will likely be throwing away. I did not notice until I could not find that 32" LG on our planogram.

Mine were in there too. But only six for the whole tv wall. Pptl tried to tell me they were sending all new ones to standardize sizes...didn't have time to check my transition manual.

They are standardizing all fact tag sign holders and signs to 36x4. 30x4 is no longer a thing.
Without looking there's no way six new sign holders is enough then...I feel like they are the same size as the last big 4k addition, but over half are now the wrong holder...

My PMT and I (Signing Specialist) did the TV Wall on Tuesday and it took us about 9 hours. Then I had to go back the next morning to put in the new signs and 4X11 Price points. The move was pretty crazy but the TV Wall looks great.

They also made me look in the Cage for the TV Mounts and Remotes for the TV's that came off the wall. Did you guys keep the Remotes for the TV in the Boat or kept them packaged and sent them to the backroom?

We have a couple Sterilite containers on a shelf in our electronics lockup where we keep ours. Each TV's remote, stand, starter batteries, and manual are wrapped together in pallet wrap and has both a shelf label and the serial number/barcode from the TV box taped to it before it goes in one of those containers.

I didn't change any backer paper. The white would have looked bad. The lit sign was ok but the curved tv was a very tight fit.

Other then that we had to find another hanging bar beyond the one we were sent but we got it. We swapped a flat bar with a lower up-angled bar in section 4 and it looks great.

Nobody is biting on the reboxed tv's yet though. I have 1 clearance from the old wall left and 1 non clearance display. Nowhere to put them and need 2 more boxes to hold them lol

TV wall complete in one day... thank you electronic TL.. pmt...and one electronic TM I scheduled under plano hours...you always do a great job....

My store's TV wall is still not complete. I have been going it alone (not even with help from a PMT) since Tuesday with 12 hours into it so far. :(

We are still missing six Samsung TVs, mostly on the top row.

Wow... I'm sorry! I'd help you if I could! I know how time consuming and precise it is.
