Is anyone else's store starting to worry them?

Does anyone know what the reasoning is?
Not having to bank them with cash? I remember watching the GSTL having to load them with several hundred dollars in bills & multiple rolls of change.
Eliminating that cuts down on how much cash they have to keep on hand.
That & they reduced how much was banked in registers years back from $150 to $100, which is a LOT when you have 16 checklanes & registers at Starbucks, pharmacy & tech.

The dumb part is that they still swap the cash out!

I had always been told it was the PMLs job to do service calls. Everyone's telling guests to go ahead and complain through the surveys because NOTHING IS GETTING DONE. We're on day 5 now of NO CASH in ANY of the SCOs. It's getting stupid.

It's not the pmls job it's the S&E TLs/ETL (which should be multiple people). Even you as a TM could do a chat bot.

The last time I did something like this to be helpful I got talked to and told not to do it anymore, to leave it to the TLs and ETLs.

We've had the same TLs for a month maybe so maybe that's why nothing's been done? But the same ETL for a bit longer. I don't get it myself.

They've made our SCOs card only. That's the way they should all be.

I really hate this trend. If I have cash I have to go talk to somebody (and I don't want to do that.) If I have 10 items or more I have to go talk to somebody instead of checking myself out. We've had some complaints about this from guests too.

It's like they forget some people are peopled out and don't want to talk to anyone.

I'm all for it. My store isn't enforcing the ten items or less.

Love the card only at SCO. we have 4 SCO and when cash was taken, it seemed like everyday a different register wouldn't be working. One day it might be the change dispenser wasn't working, and then the next day the bill accepter wasn't working at another. We'd do the basic investigations of it to try to get it to work but when we couldn't we'd have to constantly be mindful of, this one is Card only. Guests in our store like the 10 items or less... If someone has 12-15 items, it's fine by me even if I'm in line making a purchase at Target or any other store... but personally, when I want to zip in and out of a store with a few items I expect the store to keep an eye on the number of items a guest has and if they have a few over that's okay by me too. A full cart will get turned away and I would expect other stores to do the same. Our store is finally making an effort to have 2 sometimes 3 registers open during high volume times and it's working out pretty well. That's about the only thing that's going well though. Store is a mess. When we don't have a cart guy, bathrooms don't get attended to, hanger dump barrel doesn't get emptied and then the registers hanger box overflows and the store is dusty and dirty.

Soo much old transition, Trim-a-tree, salvage BUCK, etc in the steel. Someone's going to be in hot water at my store. We've been drowning in truck freight every day for months. Just now coming up for air, and it's bad.
Sorry, unrelated to checklanes but it's worrying me
That's wild. Our DSD walked backrooms on every visit in December and would have destroyed us for trim in the steel

Nah it's fine this is about the store being worrisome, I'm ok with this. There always seems to be something to worry about

Must be running skeleton crews as usual
