I remember in years past we'd get time and a half for Christmas eve. A few managers in my store say they're not paying it any longer. Is this true?
14 years with Target and have never gotten time and a half for Christmas Eve.I remember in years past we'd get time and a half for Christmas eve. A few managers in my store say they're not paying it any longer. Is this true?
that would make sense. we can't have that here.Target could close at 6:00 LIKE EVERY OTHER RETAILER!
Now ya just talkin' crazy 😉Target could close at 6:00 LIKE EVERY OTHER RETAILER!
You could also ask reliable TMs if they would be willing to stay later on Christmas Eve to cover someone. Now ya just talkin' crazy 😉
In addition to the differential which may have even been $1.50 but not time and a half; during Covid it was Saturdays and Sundays pre Christmas in December. It did not include the day after christmas which has always been one of my least favorite days. There were years where we got a $1 differential, but I don't know if we ever had time and a half.
Was there a time and a half for working Christmas night for the flow team or whatever it's called now?I remember in years past we'd get time and a half for Christmas eve. A few managers in my store say they're not paying it any longer. Is this true?

Nope never. There has never been time and a half or holiday pay for Christmas Eve. I go all the way back to 1994.I remember in years past we'd get time and a half for Christmas eve. A few managers in my store say they're not paying it any longer. Is this true?

Maybe that's what I thought. I just swear I'd had a manager tell me Christmas Eve was time and a half. Recalled seeing extra on that weeks payChristmas Day has always been time and a half and holiday pay for those that qualify.
