MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Has anybody have to deal with incompetent presentation leaders? I can't take it anymore. This TL since taking over a year ago rarely pre-ties his big transition sets, never prep his workload or strips, doesn't read transition guides, doesn't communicate with PML on gondola builds, doesn't know how to plan properly as far as demerching clearance. He plans everything the day of. It's driving me mad!

Says as much as your gm etl as it does your TL.

The guide isn't out yet but the sporting goods transition is huge. Bike wall shrinks, 3rd aisle of team sports, full aisle of water bottles. Huge space moves. Early February is going to suck (haircare/beauty plus ODL)
I noticed looking at the set workload list, my bike wall goes from 8 sections to like 4...

I hope they plan on sending shelves for it as our bike wall is 30 inch base decks compared to the others around it

Mine shrinks 12 feet. The boxed kids bikes move to the bike wall so good point on shelves. The bulky/bike aisle expands to a 3rd team sports aisle (mostly adult sports - pickleball/tennis/golf etc).

ISM ordering is back up on GoCart! However, if you had a bunch of stuff saved as Favorites, you may need to look for them again as they will have new part numbers with the new vendor. And not all things are findable (yet......maybe I just need to dig more). 🫤 It would be helpful if they had a list with old part numbers and new part numbers and what isn't available at all anymore. I'm going to be real pissed if I actually can't replace the biclops ceiling pole for overheads anymore!!

Also it looks like more than just ISM has changes. Even PML housekeeping supplies have some new part numbers. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm hoping pictures are coming later--those are super helpful when ordering.

There was communication that currently part numbers have to be ordered by 004-yy-zzzz, but starting January 15th both yyzzzz and 004-yy-zzzz should work.

I am hoping I can finally order ISM and it actually comes in as the previous vendor would ghost some of my orders - Like they would 'send' it, or wouldn't even fulfill it, even though we ordered it multiple times/knew other stores got them lol

I also recommend keeping the backer paper that was there for the bike wall - my store removed it before I could say keep it. So I will be reordering all 4 pieces for it.

Why would you keep it? Not being rude just curious.
We got brand new ones back in 2023 when we got remodel and they moved the bike wall - so it didn’t look TOO bad, but now it just seems so empty haha - that’s why I would keep it. But I may honestly just leave it empty and just say that’s how it’ll be

Does anyone know the number for the small tagholders that have a cuff on the top to snap on the edge of a basket, rod or shelf? I think they were used in drink cases?

We intentionally set the boxed bike shelves WAY, way lower than the POG called for. Safety, anyone?

Speaking of shelf heights, the outdoor lighting POG made me twitch: little verticle space between shelves with plenty of empty space above the displays, vast canyons of empty space between single-faced DPCIs, boxed stake sets intentionally merchandised on their sides, the neon signs stacked flat on the shelves as if God never made wall art brackets. I pretty much went rogue and mutilated the whole POG to my liking. Let 'em cry about it.

Hey guys,

So my etl wants me to move the signing area that’s on the bulk steel into the fixture room. My fixture room is a long narrow hallway, not as long as some stores. For the stores that already have signing area in the fixture room, can you guys share tips or pictures of what you did?
