Oh--- no i appreciate your critiques! It helps " gage" me along on my direction- so they are MUCH APPRECIATED- but what i meant is a valuable FYI in what they are looking at first off is rack height/and consistency- and "building up" from there- what we used to call a " rythm in flow" to walls and racks

True ash- but i was in a srore where they removed all mannequin arms- and just left them dressesd without them- im assuming a non vml person

I can't even get my SLTL to put our Knox Rose stuff on her. I'm getting infuriated and the First day I'm allowed a little extra time I'll be dragging our VML and SLTL by the leg hitting every gondola corner on the way over until they fix it.

When my VML dresses them they look great. She's only dressed a small handful since she's come on though. Most of her time is in hardlines.. my management doesn't care about softlines for some reason. When my SLTL dresses them (IF she dresses them) it is over a week past when they're due and she's afraid to merchandise like colors with it.

Its like a power struggle. No it's your job. No honey, it's your job. You would think as you were doing the adjacency and got to the mannequins you'd change them. Because it might free up whole racks of stuff on the sales floor once you get them dressed and merchandised

Im hoping that with the new direction the company is going in they will address issues like that c master-- even back when i was a visual at SEARS it was known that soft lines and home/ textiles have the highest profit margains

We even used to talk about this at the huddles, when we had them. We haven't had one in over a year though. Thats why I was so mad when I heard my VML wasn't going to be doing the VA

Taking the va away from the sltl is one of the things I'm looking forward to. Every sign I bring it to set, usually a week after the new va, there's never the right clothes on the fixture. Because we didn't have it, or enough to fill it, etc. The correct stuff will be on the last line of racks. Drives me nuts. I used to do it back when every rack was on the va and I'd never pull that shit.

@tanner6116 my softlines Tl does the visual adjacencies in softlines except for sleep and c9. Our brand tm does those ones. Our brand tm is amazing and her sections look good after it's set. All the other departments are done partially in clumps and nothing makes sense as an outfit. I want my VML to take over setting all of them or at least be present and helping when she is doing them to straighten her out.

VML doesn't do the adjacency at my store either. I do the VA (brand TM) and SLTL does the POGs.

I heard that my vml's vmml or whatever it's called said she should only be discussing 25% of her time in sl. She only is supposed to be doing mannequins, all c9... And something else. But I believe she does get a say in what things we should be doing in order to maintain the visual appeal of sl.

But that was hearsay so it could've been a misinterpretation of the actual message.

I feel sorry for our VMTL. They are working him like a dog. They are having him do tons of sales planners. He has to do them to POG. He is really stressed and always in a big hurry.

What the frick is that?? We don't have ANY displays in the cases. That went away YEARS ago! They are covered with white frost now.

Ours was frosted for awhile. We had a lot of theft with our expensive watches so that planogram went inside our jewelry case. I've been at my store for 7 years and we only recently started putting them back inside the jewelry counter.
