@tanner6116 I get that. I hope she gets a little creative. I mean our trend runs and focals look better than they ever have but she's not adding her own style to it really. And as far as the football team thing.. it is definitely the season to get that merchandise out there and selling. It looks good.

OK first those onesies should be on a quad and raised a little higher. Some are dragging the ground. The clearance pushed together, I've seen that at stores. The store up the road from mine does that. My store does not. You can't even really see the shoes under those shirts. The shirts need to be brought up or they need to be hung on pegs above the shirts. It looks better to merchandise shirts to the left of pants so that one pic is all wrong too.pic the non-clearance pushed together is not correct either.

So yes, a majority of what you took pictures of are wrong. The clearance pushed together is debatable.

I don't even know why jeans and superhero shirts are being out on the same endcap with watches and bags to begin with. That CANNOT be the VA.

So these too- from another store- furniture pieces that are nott in same story- hsloween candy on softlines fixturing- no aisle fliw going into rtw- racks not alligned atleast- they r probablly brand wtong also there?

I think we've already been through the whole racks being pushed together thing. Multiple times actually. So im not going to address that again. The front furniture focal isn't horrible because most of that furniture is on Planogram there. The candy in softlines is just dumb. And so is whatever the hell they were trying to do on the Jean wall.

Sorry lady c. Im just so " impassioned" on what im seeing in a store that i live so close to- and have to bite my tongue everytime i shop in it!

I don't understand why these questions are being aimed at me though. I only said that the sports teams on that furniture pad wasn't a bad idea because... you know it's not only fall/winter but it's also football season.

I understand that. I walked into another target up the road and was amazed at how much better it looked than mine. They have better fixtures though. Since they're approving overtime now I'm just gonna stay and remerchandise my whole softlines department at 4am when the flow team comes in. Maybe call my vml over too.

Yeah our store is so understaffed that as long as we are being productive we stay and work. Some of us are working 12 hour days 10+ days in a row to get our store ready for 4th quarter. We've been hiring too.. just nobody lasts. And the ones that do are pretty useless.

I hope I'm not coming off snarky or anything. I'm basically just doing a virtual walk. I think your accessory endcap with the scarves, necklaces, and clutches tells a compelling story. It's definitely inspiring our guest to pair accessories when she goes out. Most everything else looks crisp, but it's what Target has always done...or at least what brand stores have been doing, which is not a bad thing. That just makes me question how bad some stores were executing things the past couple of years.

The men's puffer jackets on the end wall isn't the most appealing. Those might be better suited to a high capacity or a quad. I'd try to move some of your head and hand or cold weather running/workout gear to that space.

To me, the accessories end caps pretty much look like the adjacency to me but less product. My VML did more with the ones I gave her. But what do I know?

@tanner6116 I'm gonna take pictures of my softlines department next week and you can see just how ragged it is. Especially our men's department. Maybe you can add some insight as to what can be done. As of right now we are drowning in clothing because the VAs aren't being set timely and accurately.

If your store is anything like mine right now, your VA person keeps getting interrupted to go back up. At least that's what keeps happening to me.

No , the person doing the VA (the SLTL) is just a scatter brain. One day I saw her trying to set pieces of 3 different adjacencies. I wanted to strangle her. Our brand tm that owns C9 and sleepwear (the only adjacencies that look good) is on leave for a while and she is direly missed.. and our PPTL (on her LOD shifts) and our CTL set Boys/Girls for her 100% only to have her destroy it on the next set. So they're not going to help her anymore. We have no softlines tms i would trust to even run abandons let alone zone. Our ETL even was setting infants and it only got 1/3 of the way done and absolutely no rack alignment was done.

The example images though none are perfect, I think they look nice and I get a clearer example of the value of a vml. My vml is the most unnecessary being. She's done no such thing. No creativity, no style. Nothing. Last night she sent sl tms away from mens because she wanted to work her magic or whatever. She didn't get called for backup or cafs or anything but the area still looked trashed today lol. No tables folded, clearance a mess, etc. And today she walked around sl with my etl trying to show her how dreadful we are (I overheard a bit). She smiles in our faces, then goes to the etl to report our alleged shortcomings.

Seeing the pics here, even though I agreed with some critiques, made it even more obvious to me how unproductive our vml is.

I wish I could share a pic of the end cap I had to set a few days ago for my VML because she didn't know how. She had the diagram in front of her, and still couldn't set it.

And she looooves to talk shit about all of us, even after we help cover for her shortcomings. She has tried to get me removed from my Brand position because she doesn't like how the department tends to look, despite her literally never comes over to help.

Hell, I know she hates me now because the other day she ran her hand over one of the end asp then brushed her hand off like it was gross, so when I went into the TL office to check in with her, I ran my hand along her workspace and said that someone should really look into cleaning that area.

Zero fucks given anymore. I don't like two-faced people, and that's all I've seen from my VML.

I'd LOVE to have one that does literally anything.

Also- i was blesses to walk into a store that overall understands the importance of rack heights and consistency- word up--- when we had that " big visit " from corp. My first week there my vmml and the others Did call out and said they wanted to see more rack height consistency and allignment

No- i do not trash talk any of my team- they have all expressed they are happy i am there to help with setting focals with " vision" and paying attention to "detail" go easy on me folks! Now officially its only been 3 weeks in my store! Lol

Oh I wasn't saying that. I think you're doing good work. Especially for only 3 weeks. My vm has been here since early October... Or late September and she hasn't done anything different. I think your images and the others that were posted are proof she's not one of the good ones.
