New Rollouts for 2025?

If this was best practice, I don't believe it is anymore. I have not seen or heard that on the FBP or process pages for RevLog. And indeed, if it is the case, there appears to be no consequences (metric or otherwise) for not doing it, since we definitely do not.
It’s a part of a pilot that some stores are doing that is likely to be rolled out chain wide based on the store’s strategic roadmap.

Ah. I wonder what the aim of it is exactly? Seems like it would add an insane amount of labor. At this point I think we generate more or at least as much salvage as CRC. It was already "scanned" once when its disposition was generated at the service desk, with the price change TM, or defecting TM. As long as it gets to its destination, I don't see what the point of the RevLog expert scanning it would have. There are weeks where we have thousands of pieces of CRC clothing going back....

If I am remembering what my SD told me correctly RevLog and RevLog Pulls will be worked into myWork.

I'm curious if the current CRC/Salvage Pilot they are running in some stores will go forward. I am not looking forward to that extra workload on top of all the other receiving stuff I need to do.
Sweeps (RevLog) are already integrated into MyDay.

This is not true. Receivers should make sure all items have a CRC label but it is not best practice to scan all items on the pallet. Old best practice was you’d have a list and verify what’s on it but that hasn’t been a thing for a very long time.
back in the day you had to make sure all crc & salvage was scanned into the pallet and it was best practice it’s how you were getting credit once’s received at the dock. So if other stores weren’t doing like that in the past doesn’t mean it’s not true .
Obviously I don’t know what the new rule now .
But if they are going back to scanning into pallets that was best practice .

Correct which is what i said. It hasn’t been best practice for a long time. Almost 10 years now.

When I took over receiving we needed to make sure everything was scanned to the pallet ids. The price changes and returns/damages from guest services were collected into batches that we scanned onto the pallet. Individual defectives from other places had to be individually scanned onto the pallet ids. When they got rid of the PDAs, that process went away. I wanna say that was 6ish years ago.

My store isn't doing the new pilot, but if I'm remembering it correctly then boxes will be filled with the salvage/crc from guest services and price change. Then the receiver will have to go through the boxes and scan every individual item to the pallet id and repackage them. If this is the case it is gonna be miserable. They better give me 40 hours every week for the entire year if this rolls out.

scanning those huge hanger bins of salvage stuff just dumped in? nope nope no thanks.

I have no clue, I am so curious about this pilot but I can't find anything else about it. The only reason I know about it is because someone posted pictures of parts of the pilot on reddit. I'm guessing it is the crc/defective sticker for actual damages/returns and then the upc for price changes. But this whole process is gonna suck.

none of this can possibly be a thing. I closely monitor channels that would reveal this. I think this little more than gossip that went too far. Don't ascribe much to these suggestions.

I think it’s like 5 years ago but either way it’s not something new if that’s what they are bringing back .
For store with one receiver will be hard to keep up with everything else . So I hope they don’t for their sake.

The Salvage/CRC thing was in pilot stages. The pilot was announced in October. I haven't seen if they are continuing forward with it still but it is a pilot that had a process guide.

I can assure you, this is actually a thing. We are one of the pilot stores and it is a pain for our receiver. No extra hours were given to our payroll bucket for this. It has limited any extra projects our receiver was able to do before the pilot started.

is you store giving honest feedback about how difficult it is to execute?

Every store that is part of this pilot do this as soon as possible. Go vacation and tell us how well your store did that week. Does it get done on your days off?

Anyone heard of something called "Backroom 365"? SD wants the backrooms to be audited, wacos replaced, etc. in preparation for it but didn't explain what it actually is.

Haven't heard of that, but we're in the process of reprofiling the entire GM backroom. I guess the district lead told us, and I quote, "You need to stop doing things the [store number] way and start doing them the Target way." No hours to do it though.

I'm wondering if it's just an auditing thing? We started doing salesfloor instocks again every week so maybe it's just a daily/weekly audit of a specific aisle in addition to the leader audits.
