Yes, I know, but what I don't know is how many buyers are there per region? is it by state?Buyers don't work at store unless it's hq test store, btw.

Believe me, I have to work with TONS of hideous clothing that I would never wear So I totally cover and address all the bases represented within the store.
so, what happens to clearance stuff?Believe me, I have to work with TONS of hideous clothing that I would never wear So I totally cover and address all the bases represented within the store.
Everything is based in minn.Yes, I know, but what I don't know is how many buyers are there per region? is it by state?
Stuff it on a rack over by the fitting rooms, we have a teensy store once we get the MQs I will try and figure out a new placement for it when I see how our spacing is played out.so, what happens to clearance stuff?
It is one per group/region i believe. but it doesn't matter, you will never have any way of reaching them and they also stick to targets direction. they can reduce and add to orders and other things. if you want special merchandise orderd to your store you need to first know how to pull up sales, and understand that they wont order anything outside your stores demographic.Yes, I know, but what I don't know is how many buyers are there per region? is it by state?
Oh my goodness girl you won't let up, I get it, I get it, sales, sales. We've been over it.
My store won't let me have a bonfire to get rid of all the clearance in soft lines.Oh my goodness girl you won't let up, I get it, I get it, sales, sales. We've been over it.
Hey, I have a question, how hard is it to move around within the co. like if you wanted to interview for a design position at one of the in-house brands based in Minn. and you work in a store?Everything is based in minn.
Bastards. My store won't let me have a bonfire to get rid of all the clearance in soft lines.
your going to put a mannequin form on clearance? you just broke adjacency, thats a fail lolStuff it on a rack over by the fitting rooms, we have a teensy store once we get the MQs I will try and figure out a new placement for it when I see how our spacing is played out.
Are you still being serious? it's almost midnight where I am and I am off the clock and slipping into my silly mode, its friday.Except you DON'T get it. You just keep saying that you're using your ~sense of style~. That won't fly in Target. You HAVE to learn sales reports. Don't enter a retail environment if you can't produce something that reflects those numbers. I don't get why you're so pissed about this. It's your job. Literally. To drive and promote sales. You do that by basing displays on previously successful models, which you find out through the reports. I'm really honestly confused as to why this is such an issue.

but really I appreciate your discussion but again give me a little bit of credit, as I said I have experience in fashion and showrooms I know some stuff about it.Are you still being serious? it's almost midnight where I am and I am off the clock and slipping into my silly mode, its friday.
After your 90 days, you can apply for hq jobs. But, spot did changed their mind after paying for moves & job offers. Spot is good at carrot dangling.Hey, I have a question, how hard is it to move around within the co. like if you wanted to interview for a design position at one of the in-house brands based in Minn. and you work in a store?
OK well thanks but I am not going to be lectured anymore, I've heard what you have to say, Thanks and best,It's 11:30 here, and when having a discussion, I don't generally brush it off based on the time.

Dude, at the end of the day its TARGET...Quite honestly, I hadn't even heard of the position other than on here. In the pharmacy world, we kind of exist in our own little "bubble," especially with the CVS sale pending. So no, I had no "biased opinion" of the position, as I said, it doesn't affect me or my job in the slightest. It's the condescending tone and attitude of the posters IN the positions that have given me the opinion I have of the position, like they are somehow "better than" the existing TMs because they may have a degree or may be "outside hires." I'm sorry if anyone has gotten butt hurt because of my statements, but as an "outsider," it's how I see it. I've said before, much of the "Target culture" is foreign to me because pharmacy doesn't operate in the same way. We have our own hierarchy and "rules," (and yes, I've broken them and stepped on toes there as well.) I call things like I see them. Aome people may not likre me, but they respect me because I know my shit & I own my faults and mistakes. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the simple fact that Target is a business, and in business, things aren't always sunshine and roses.
I think one of the best things about Target is that we are a team. Every area of the store is affected by all other areas. I truly believe this. The best thing you can is ask for help when you need it. I've been with Target for more than a year and dealt with something new for the first time yesterday. I immediately went to the PPTL and asked her what I should do. Doing that in turn saved her team from correcting something later down the road. Also, admit when you've done something wrong and be willing to learn from your mistakes.I always feel guilty asking the other leader's team members to help me, I feel like I'm stealing them and they talk shit behind my back, maybe they are some of the people talking shit to my cyber-face on this site now...
Yet you've never worked retail??? Don't they usually go hand in hand???but really I appreciate your discussion but again give me a little bit of credit, as I said I have experience in fashion and showrooms I know some stuff about it.
I don't mind paying for the move I just wanted to know if they would take you as seriously for a corporate design position if you were coming from one of the stores, you know... Like Ralph Lauren is notoriously bad about not being able to move "up" into corporate. After your 90 days, you can apply for hq jobs. No, I worked at a designer in NY, we had shows during fashion week and then the buyers for the major dept. stores would come in and we would schmooze them and walk them through the collection and they would take wholesale orders based on what we thought would sell.Yet you've never worked retail??? Don't they usually go hand in hand???
